Power Trip- actions taken by an individual or group of people to invoke on another individual or group of people in order to control, persuade or intimidate a relationship (work, family, marriage, friendship). A power trip is never to store balance but to sustain a dominant and a submissive role in any communion. Any person or group with any intentions to power trip is usually caused by one’s disturbed insecurities in which individuals feel as if they have to initiate authority to feel secure.

My Life…It’s Got to Keep Going Up…
I read ‘The Great Gatsby’ by F. Scott Fitzgerald in college and could relate to the amazing character Jay Gatsby – narrated by Nick Carraway. Jay was a young man from a country town in North Dakota who fell in love with a young aristocrat name Daisy. Daisy represented everything Jay desired and that he thought he needed to in order win Daisy’s love.
Jay and Daisy fell in love early in life during his stint in the military. Jay felt that Daisy was out of his league in terms of status and money and he became relentless about making money and reaching elite status in order to prove that he belonged in her league.
As he and Daisy reconnected after being re-introduced by Nick, the story goes from triumph to tragedy for Jay. Despite everything he did for her, Daisy never gave Jay the same compassion and admiration even when she played a significant part in his untimely death.
No matter how much money you have – it can’t buy you love or friends. Jay’s funeral was attended only by Nick – the only person that really valued his friendship and generosity.
Therefore, no matter what I’ve done in my life to please people, socialize and make friends, pursue a woman of my interest….the more I did to fit in – the more I felt like an outcast. In the midst of every relationship, there has to be a balance and you must treat people the way you want to be treated.
Through headaches and heart breaks, no matter what, just be yourself!! By being myself, I can look at myself in the mirror and feel content – not worrying that labels or lust cloud my inner peace. Even if you believe she is the most beautiful woman in the world, physical beauty in time tapers and character can only be defined through time.
Therefore in the Gatsby quote “My Life… it’s got to keep going up” the key words are “My Life”. And in my life someone can be a part of my world, but I cannot make someone my entire world. Everyone has to live their own life.
Lyrics from my song “Money Never Sleeps” by Reggie G
“You work hard trying to fit in; hoping they’ll accept you
Seeing in the end, that they don’t even respect you
Let you, get you; up inside the circle
The in-crowd has been wild, get in and they’ll hurt you
Love ain’t universal; they use it for commercial
Even in Family Matters they’ll treat you like you’re Urkel”
Why I Cleanse? My Journal of Colon Cleansing
From Far Left- 1st pic before cleanse (208 lbs), 2nd pic after 4 day pre-cleanse (206 lbs), 3rd pic one day after cleanse (202 lbs). Before and after pics from my nine day colon cleanse from Blessed Herbs.
No Vanity
My reason for posting is not to display abs or physique but to give my testimony on the importance of cleansing or detoxing the body. In today’s culture promoting sex and flesh sells or gains massive notoriety, therefore the body is used as a symbol for vanity. However, I keep in good shape most of the year as doing so is adapted into my lifestyle. Internally it’s a different story. I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I do eat to fuel my body rather than to satisfy my cravings which is not easy for most people. Foods that I eat that lack nutrients, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and that have unhealthy fats can be left inside the body’s colon and intestinal walls without being removed during a sit down (bowel movement). Whether you are a vegan or meat lover, the facts are that undigested foods can still be stored for years and decades without any chance of removal unless you do colonics or colon cleanses.
Injuries
Injuries that I have sustained were accumulated over the years from my lack of knowledge on weight training, nutrition and kinesiology. Constant pounding on my joints without stretching lead to rotator cuff tears, meniscus tears and tendonitis during winter months. Tendinitis usually is caused by a specific injury or by repetitive overuse, especially when using poor body position. Tendinitis can occur in young athletic people in response to sports injuries and overuse when pushing past their pain threshold.
The body needs vitamins and minerals to replace those that active individuals lose during exercise. Stretching via yoga is important because as I get older my joints tend to get stiffer which negatively impacts my range of motion and in turn reduces blood flow. Therefore, stretching/yoga increases the blood and nutrient supply to muscles and cartilage and reduces muscle soreness after training all while making the muscles long and lean instead of bulky. In other words, the tighter you are, the more you are at risk of injury. Improved flexibility leads to better blood flow and along with proper rest can help a person heal faster from issues such as arthritis, tendonitis and lactic acid–related pain.
Colon Cleanse
I tried the nine day colon cleanse from Blessed Herbs via my boy Keith Mitchell, who stresses that detoxing the body supports refueling with proper nutrition. The process includes a three day pre-cleanse with healthy, light meals while taking a Digestive Stimulator and an herbal/organic apple juice supplement which together work as a laxative before you start the five day no food all liquid diet. After the third day, I began the liquids only diet – the first two days of which were quite difficult. Also note that this cleanse comes with three options. The first option is liquids only (juicing, vitamix smoothies, broth, veggie only soup). The second option is one light meal a day. The third option is two light meals a day. Each option requires an increase in the taking of the Digestive Stimulator and Herbal Cleanse supplement.
Trial
During the first liquids only day, I had only one sit down while consuming the herbs. The second day my body started relieving me of the toxins, undigested foods and mucoid plaque from my intestinal walls and colon. There is no secret, only discipline. The results lie in the discipline. From the second to the fourth day I averaged five sit downs a day while maintaining my liquid diet. Each day you will feel better and better while the withdrawals will eventually fade. From a physique perspective I noticed weight loss in upper and lower abdomen area as a well as my obliques. During the 5 day time period I participated in yoga during three days and did no weight training.
Aftermath
After the trial was over, I treated myself to wild sockeye salmon dinner, with Louisiana sweet potatoes, roasted carrots, and a spinach salad.
Pre cleanse I stepped on the scale and weighed 208. Post cleanse I weighed in at 202. Six pounds gone and I lost some stored fat below my navel. When I returned to work after my last day of the cleanse, I felt post orgasmic – mellow but very clear headed and with lots of vitality. My focus and energy level was very high, and of course, my six pack was now an eight pack. I began to get back in the gym gradually to return to my weight lifting routine because my body felt so good to be pain free.
Supplements– I take supplements daily but I take them in cycles – so not every supplement everyday.

Ego…. Mind, Body & Soul
By Chinook Wusdhu co-authored by Reggie G
When we think of egos we often think of celebrities, personalities and individuals that command a lot of attention. What is the ego? How powerful is it?
There are a lot of parallels between interpretations of the meaning of the metaphors, allegories and parables of the Id, the ego and the super ego – unconsciousness, consciousness and super consciousness – me, myself and I – I and I know I – father, son and holy ghost – ignorance, superstition, logic, reasoning, science – mind, body and spirit. The ego can be a helper or a hinderer – it can work for you or against you. The ego at times can be a master manipulator.
I find that people that who are happiest with themselves have a healthy ego and people that are unhappy with themselves have a very unhealthy ego. Typically the ego directs the mind to defend its weaknesses, its insecurities, its insufficiencies that then manifest in a greater way. When a person is unhappy with themselves they feel mistrust, unempowered, have little or no self-esteem and act in many ways like a spoiled child with temper tantrums, mood swings and manipulative actions that keep things as they want them to be or influence situations in their favor.
Negative energy is mostly fear based – worries that you will be exposed, revealed or in some way truthfully out-ed by self-doubt, lack of confidence or inability to fit in. An unbalanced ego reveals a mindset of wanting to receive rather than give, self-interest rather than social-interest, an inability to take criticism, have an open opinion and no tolerance for anyone’s else’s evaluation, description or observation. You have to be careful with your own ego if you’re really honest and desire to be righteous or positive person. Sometimes there comes a point where you ask yourself ” Is it me or is it them?”; “Am I tripping or are they tripping?” “Am I one sided, narrow minded unobjective or is it them?” “Can I be more tolerant, compassionate and patient?”
The ego is smart and slick! There is a great movie directed by Guy Ritchie called “Revolver”. The movie is disguised as a gangster action movie but it’s really a very advanced and deep movie about the ego. During the credits, some of the world’s greatest thinkers, motivators and philosophers like Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Hawkins, Dr. Yoav Dattilo, Dr. Stephen Hayes and more discuss the ego.
Most people are unaware of their ego and cannot cope with their mind. Their ignorance, lack of drive and impatience is their worst enemy. So instead of looking for someone to blame when things don’t go your way ask yourself …. am I in control or are they in control of what’s happening right now? I can see others, but can I see myself?……(Depression, Paranoia, Schizophrenia, Bipolar and Multiple Personalities vs Bliss, Euphoria, Contentment, Enlightenment, Happiness)
